Obituary for Wilma Murphree (Scott)
Wilma Louise Murphree, age 83, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2023, at her home. She was born January 2, 1940, in Tyler, Arkansas, the daughter of Sherman Scott and Oma Payton Scott. She attended Heber Springs High School, graduating in 1957.
Wilma was such a sweet, loving, caring person to all that knew her loved her beautiful smile. She also enjoyed bowling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael Wayne Murphree, three brothers; Albert Mason, Burnlee Scott, and Sonny Scott.
Wilma is survived by her husband, William Ray Murphree of 65 years, son; Jimmy Don Murphree of Searcy, stepson; Nathan Murphree of Rose Bud.
Visitation will be held Saturday May 6, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Family Funeral Service in Heber Springs, Arkansas and Funeral Service will be Sunday May 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Brownsville by Rev. Leo Murphree. Pallbearers will be Jerry Bittle, James Matthews, Randy Scott, Mark Scott, Leon Murphree, Bruce Scott, with honorary Pallbearers Gary Mason and Jason Bittle.
