Willard Loal Phillips went peacefully home to be with the Lord
he loved on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. He was born to
William Dave and Lizzie Mae (Garrett) Phillips on June 12, 1933 in
Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents,
and all his siblings: Lucille Simmons, Marvin Phillips, Lorene Green,
Earl Phillips, Kathleen Simmons and Christene Perry.
Willard is survived and missed forever by his wife of 68 years Betty
(Slaten) Phillips, one daughter Tammy (Keith) Barentine; a son Rickey
(Amy) Phillips; four grandchildren: Dustin (Briana) Phillips, Gracie Phillips,
Jessie Johnson, and Lilly Johnson and five great grandchildren: Remington
Phillips, Kadence Phillips, Kaylynn Phillips, Kynzleigh Phillips and
Lakelynn Glasscock. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and great-
nephews and great-nieces whom he adored. He loved his family and loved
to spoil his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You knew when you saw
him he was going to pinch your cheeks.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Family Funeral Service and funeral services will be on the same day at 2:00 PM in Family Funeral Service Chapel, by Bro Lee Brown with burial in South Crossroads Cemetery.
