Sharon Verser, an Arkansas born and California raised artist, gave us all the gift of walking this Earth for the past 70 years. She was born September 27, 1951, in Heber Springs and passed away July 31, 2022, in Prim, Arkansas.
Sharon met her farmer husband at the local bowling alley and eloped eight months later. They created a life in Prim, Arkansas. Their farming included raising chickens in Cleburne County and raising cattle in Stone County. Hank and Sharon Verser have been married for 44 years.
Outspoken Sharon always found time to laugh, flash a great smile, and tell a joke to brighten your day. She always marched to the beat of her own drum, and she took the time to celebrate the individuality of each person she met.
Many have shared that Sharon possessed a unique ability to make you feel seen. This was most prominent in the relationships she had with each of her daughters: Starr, Michelle, Shelby, and Honey. She recognized each of their individual strengths and championed their lives with great pride.
Sharon was the embodiment of boundless love, whether it was across state lines from Louisiana to California or international lines all the way to India. She accepted with open arms some truly wonderful sons-in-law: John Watson, Anand Ambrose, and Shawn Guillot; and a grandson-in-law, Srikanth Reddy Pocham Reddy.
Sharon is and will always be the “Bam-ma” to five magical grandkids: Genna, Keelie, Andreina, Nico, and Jentry. Whether she was making the best chocolate gravy and homemade biscuits or teaching her strategy during a family card game, she always found time to connect with each grandkid in the way they needed.
Her love of family grew exponentially with the arrival of great-grandkids Daniel and Shriyani. Any future great-grandbabies will know Sharon’s love as it lives in each of us.
Upon Sharon’s request, there will be no traditional funeral services. To honor Sharon’s legacy, please go out and do an act of kindness where you expect nothing in return.
