Obituary for Sanford Cothren
Sanford Dale Cothren the son of Herbert Cothren and Alice Wood Cothren was born in Brownsville, Arkansas on September 15, 1942 and passed away from this life in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 13, 2021 at the age of 79 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Alice Cothren, his identical twin, great granddaughters Paislee Dale and Zoee Marie Showalter. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years Barbara, son Steve Cothren and wife Beverly, daughter Karen Bowen, grandchildren Stephanie Peneda and husband Ramon, Steven Cothren and wife Jess, Elizabeth Showalter and husband Joey, Jennifer Bowen, great grandchildren Brantlee Guest, Leeland and Devvon Showalter, R. J. and Samuel Peneda, his sister Carolyn Cothren and brother Sterling Cothren and wife Maxine, other relatives and many friends. He served his country with distinction for 20 years in the United States Army retiring as a Lt. Colonel. He was of the Baptist Faith and member of Grace Baptist Church of Heber Springs.
Graveside Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Brownsville Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Full Military Honors by the United States Army Honor Guard.
