Obituary for Samuel Avery
Samuel Arthur Avery, Jr. 56 of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away February 13, 2023. He was born May 5, 1966 in Russellville, Arkansas to Samuel Arthur Avery, Sr. and Ruby Moody Avery.
Sam was a Christian man that enjoyed going to services at the Other Side Chapel every week and he loved reading his bible daily. He was a devoted husband and loved cooking delicious meals for his wife Cathy.
Sam also enjoyed spending recreational time watching sports, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Hutto Avery of Heber Springs, Arkansas, one daughter; Stephanie Kacperski (Joseph), one son, Bogan Avery (Raleigh) of South Carolina; a step daughter Tori Greene (Jason) of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas one brother Jeff Avery (Sayuri) of Hawaii; his mother-in-law, Annie Cupit of Heber Springs, Arkansas, 7 grandchildren, Corbin Kacperski, Charlie Kacperski, Megan Avery, Belle Avery, Jane, Avery, Mason Greene and Colby Greene and a host of many friends.
Sam was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Arthur Avery, Sr., Mother Ruby Moody Avery; and a son, Caleb Avery.
A visitation will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at the Family Funeral Service Chapel. The funeral service will be held Friday, February 17, 2023, at 10:00 am, in the Family Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at the Casa Cemetery in Casa, Arkansas.
