Obituary for Martha Hammond (Meek)
Martha Hammond passed away peacefully at her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas on May 4, 2023 at the age of 91 years. She was born on May 25, 1931 in Union City, Tennessee.
She was a member of the Sugar Loaf Baptist Church in Heber Springs.
She was proceded in death by her parents Cletus and Lela Meek, a brother Trent Meek, a daughter Ame English, a granddaughter Kristan Rains and a great grandson Landon Futrell. Survivors are her husband Bobby Hammond, children Danny Hammond of Greenbrier, Millie Combs of Westland, Michigan, Mitzi Compton and husband Mike, of Thompson Station, Tennessee, Mary Hammond of Heber Springs, Calvin Hammond and wife Debra of Heber Springs, Edith Gray and husband Joseph of Vilonia, John Hammond and wife Becky of Beebe and Robert Hammond and wife Atsuko of Oahu, Hawaii. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren besides other relatives and many friends.
A visitation will be on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Family Funeral Service and graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM and burial will be in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.
