Obituary for Lynton Roswell

Lynton Ray Roswell, 72, of Pittsburg, Missouri, passed away at his home on May 11, 2023 after a brief battle with heart complications.
Lynton was born on October 17, 1950 to Harvey Lynton and Loyce Estelle (Kannada) Roswell in Holly Grove, Arkansas. As a boy, he learned to drive a tractor and work hard on the family farm. These years spending time in the woods with his father and grandfather were the beginning of his love for the outdoors, fishing, and hunting.
After Lynton graduated from Stuttgart High School in 1970, he went on to join the Arkansas Army National Guard as a member of the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Over his thirty year career with the National Guard, he served several tours on active duty at various Army bases across the United States. During his part-time service years, utilizing a CDL from the military, he enjoyed a career as an over the road truck driver with Walmart, Riceland Foods, and Dillard’s.
In 2015, Lynton retired and later relocated to Heber Springs where he spent his time hunting, fishing, and attending track meets and dance recitals to spend time with his grandchildren.
Lynton was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Pamela Eichler; a brother-in-law, Brad Bloodworth; a nephew, Lindsey Eichler; and one great granddaughter, Raylie Jane Short. He is survived by two daughters, Amy (Patrick) Byford and Angi (Jarrett) Ogle and their mother Donna Roswell Buercklin; his faithful companion, Deanna Clayton and her children Catrina (Pete) Avery and Clint (Sarah) Clayton; two sisters, Jean (Terry) Lawton and Carol Bloodworth; six grandchildren, Kalie (Jeff) Sides, Jonathan Ogle, Natalie Short, Judson Ogle, Parker Byford, and Allison Minor; two great-grandchildren, Hudson and Hadley Creasey; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Family Funeral Service in Heber Springs, Arkansas on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 10:00 am. A graveside service will be held at Antioch Cemetery in Drasco, Arkansas on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
