Obituary for Leslie "Trader Joe" Barker
Leslie Charles (Trader Joe) Barker, the son of Delton Morris and Dorothy Ray McCracken Morris was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas on March 7, 1944 and passed away in Batesville, Arkansas on August 24, 2023 at the age of 79 years.
He enjoyed fishing, pawn shops, hunting, auctions, gardening and flea markets.
He was preceded in death by his parents Delton Morris and Dorothy Morris, three sisters; Amelia Morris, Maxine Parker, Brenda Brown, a brother Bud Morris. Survivors are his two daughters; Robin England of Concord and Teressa King of Harrisburg, a son Lloyde McIllwain of Heber Springs; three sisters Hazel Brechen, Portia Taylor and Holly Sutherland of Concord, a brother J. L. Morris and wife Connie; three grandchildren Maghin Bolser and husband Colton of Concord, Gage England and wife Stephanie of Batesville and Lauren Tallent of Texas, six great grandchildren ; Casen Bolser, Jacie Bolser, Kyle Tallent, Logan Tallent, Dylan Reeser and Nakita Gresham, former wife and friend Betty Carolyn Thomas, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
A funeral service will be on Tuesday August 29, 2023, at Family Funeral Service for family and friends at 2:00 PM. Honorees will be Gage England, Colton Bolser, Aron Sutherland, Nathan Nicholson, Michael Skinner, Dylan Chastain and Nick Chastain.
In lieu of flowers send donations to America Heart Association and St. Jude's.
