Joseph Willis was born on a cold February morning deep in the heart of Louisiana. Raised on the best Cajun food and critters that could be found, he eventually made his way to Heber Springs, Arkansas where he enjoyed his real life pirate gig as a tow boat captain for Canal Barge. While most folks with cancer would drift peacefully into the night, Joe defied all odds with a coffee in his hand and a joke on his lips. He will be deeply missed by his wife Carrie, their kids, extended family members, and truckloads of friends- no strangers, he’d never met any. One of Joe’s greatest joys in life was getting to be a dad to his three favorite knuckleheads. Above all, Joe was a man of deep faith and showed his love for Jesus daily. What a comfort to know he is with his savior… probably holding up the line… still asking questions… asking for directions to the nearest heavenly tattoo parlor. We will miss you Joe, and go tigers.
