Obituary for Jerry Owen
Jerry Christopher Owen was born December 21, 1965, in Bastrop, Louisiana. He entered his heavenly home on Saturday, December 24, 2022, in Searcy, Arkansas. He was 57 years old.
Chris was the son of Linda Gay Owen and the late Jerry W. Owen. He is preceded in death by his father Jerry W. Owen, his grandparents the late Marion and Susie Owen and the late J. S. and Avanell Gay.
Chris is survived by his wife of 34 years Tami Owen. The last 18 years she was also his caregiver and nurse. His two daughters Halley Owen Sturch (Braden) and Hannah Owen Brannan (Samuel). Five grandchildren Kynli Gortney, Addilyn Sturch, Karrington, Miya and Kamron Brannan. Chris is also survived by his mother Linda Gay Owen and one sister DeAnna Owen Logan (Darrin). Two nieces Karson and Kennington Logan. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and family.
Chris attended the South Crossroads Church. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling, dear camp and anything on the water. Chris also enjoyed good conversations with family and friends talking about sports and memories from the past.
The family wants to thank all of those that were part of his care team for the last 18 years. You made a difference. He is now walking, laughing and living his life he loved so much.
A visitation will be on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at South Crossroads Church from 1:30 to 2:00 PM and a Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 PM by Rev. Kenneth Rolland Jr.
