Jeffrey David Scott
March 25, 1961 - October 15, 2022

October 15, 2022 Heaven opened up to receive our precious Jeffrey. He was born March 25, 1961 to Dean Bittle Cothren.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Until his illness he loved the great outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his family, his special friends from Union Pacific Railroad and his special lifelong friends. All that knew him loved him for his kindness and quick wit. Though he didn't have any children of his own he was greatly loved by all of his nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. He also loved his friends children as his own.

Survivors are his mother, Dean Cothren of Hopewell, his brother Nathan Murphree (Darlene) of Rose Bud. His nieces; Misty Allison (Scott) of Greenbrier, Bridget Covington (Ed) of Searcy, Robyn Stamper (Chris) of Cabot. Six great nephews; Luke Allison, Spencer Allison, Easton Allison, AJ Allison, Ed Covington Jr (Brittany), Gage Stamper. Two great nieces; Raegan Woods (Garrett) and Bailey Stamper. Two great great nieces; Lynley Covington and Kennedi Covington and two great great nephews; Ethan Covington and Jaxon Skillern.

He was preceded in death by his maternal Grandparents Easel and Gracie Bittle. His step-father Lynn Cothren.

The family would like to acknowledge the Pallative Care Unit at the VA Hospital and his special nurses in the dialysis department of the VA Hospital, Marcia and Loretta for their special concern and care. Also the doctors and nurses at Unity Hospital in Searcy, especially Dr. Bobby Johnson.

Graveside Services will be October 19, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will be invited to join the family for lunch afterward at his mothers home in Hopewlll. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Fuller Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in Little Rlock, Attn: Steve Holland, 22120 Arch Street, Little Rock, AR 72206.
