Obituary for Iris Floyd
Iris Lea Floyd passed away at the age of 79, Wednesday, August 17, 2022. She was born Thursday, February 25, 1943, in Quitman, Arkansas to James and Zula Mae Gaither Jones.
Iris was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as grandma and great-grandma. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her smile. Iris enjoyed traveling and site seeing God’s beautiful creations. One of her favorite pastimes was gardening. Iris loved flowers and she had a talent for growing beautiful hydrangeas, roses, and mums. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Billy Don Floyd, and three brothers.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sharon Wortham and husband Donny, son, Rocky Floyd and wife Sandra, six grandchildren; Shannon Brand and husband George, Shea Pulliam and husband Randy, Andrew Furtado and wife Cynthia, Dakota Floyd and wife Victoria, Adrianna Ureno and husband Miguel, Treywick Floyd and wife Amber, four great-grandchildren; Travis Harper, Trevor Myrick, Sophia Ureno, Logan Furtado, two brothers; Bill Jones and wife Georgia, James Jones, Jr., many other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00pm, Monday, August 22, 2022, at Family Funeral Service in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
