Obituary for Charlie Greene
Charlie Wayne Greene the son of William Henry Greene and Sophronia M. Spencer Greene was born in Heber Springs, Arkansas on June 12, 1948 and passed away at home on April 24, 2023 at the age of 74 years. His love for Concrete brought him to work at Champion Inc. for 10 years and then to work for Razorback Concrete Company for 37 years until his retirement.
He attended Pleasant Ridge General Baptist Church, was on the Soil conversation Board, he enjoyed cattle farming, and baling hay. Most of all, Charlie loved spending time with his family and church family. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers Herman Greene, Eugene Greene, Billy Greene, Minor Greene, and Dennis Greene and two sisters Jetta Fay Jones and Wilma Walker.
Survivors are his beloved wife of 51 years, Barbara Ann Heigle Greene of Drasco, AR, son Travis (Kara) Greene of Wilburn, AR, son Jason (Tori) of Tumbling Shoals, AR, sister Marie Moore (Jim), three grandchildren Mason Greene, Colby Greene and Dalton Greene, his beloved dog Sadie, other relatives, and many friends. Pallbearers will be Ray Dill, Randy Jones, Cody Southerland, Jeremy Dill, Terry Jones, and Daniel Hess.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Chastain Chapel Baptist Church in Tumbling Shoals, AR at 10:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM by Bro. Jeff Thomas and Bro. Samuel Wildmon with burial in Chastain Chapel Cemetery.
