Obituary for Buddy Parrott

Buddy Lee Parrott age 90 of Heber Springs went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2022. He was born on September 24, 1932 in Heber Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Parrott “JJ” and Vergie Ethal Verser Parrott and his brothers Andrew and Emmett Parrott.
He served his country honorably for 22 years in the United States Air Force. He was a Vietnam Veteran. After retiring from the Air Force in July 1973 he moved his family back to Heber Springs where he worked for 17 years before retiring from there. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He was a die hard St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan and a Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved westerns and Audie Murphy movies.
Left behind to cherish his memories is his wife of 67 years Louise Pike Parrott, daughter Sharon McAfee (Tim), sons Richard (Sandy) Parrott of McKinney, Texas and James (Cindy) Parrott of Carrolton, Texas.
He leaves behind his grandchildren Tony McAfee (Sandra) Lindsey Lawson (Chris) Kaylynn Parrott (Adel) Kendra James (Steven) Taylor Parrott (Josue) Reece Parrott, Sophie Parrott, Shelby Burrow, Seirra Burrow and Savannah Decker.
Great Grandkids: Jack Lawson, Emily Lawson, Caroline McAfee. Asher James, Ally James, Savannah James, Sully Parrott, Raegan Parrott, Aleigha Fortenberry and Aubray Fortenberry and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and relatives.
We extend a special thanks to the Doctors and nurses on 4B at John L. McCellan Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas for their compassion and care.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 24th at 1:00 PM at Family Funeral Service at 100 West Searcy Street in Heber Springs, followed by a Military Honors graveside service at Heber Springs Cemetery on 4th Street.
