Obituary for Becky Houston (McAnear)
Becky Jane Houston, age 73, of Bigelow, Arkansas passed away Monday January 9, 2023, after her battle with cancer. Born April 30, 1949, in Heber Springs, Arkansas to the late Leon and Wanda McAnear of Heber Springs, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Wanda McAnear, grandparents, Opie and Lena McAnear, father and mother-in-law, Jim and Blanche Houston, brother-in-law, David Houston, cousins, Darvin and Donnie McAnear..
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bill, two children, daughter Teressa Houston, son David Houston, wife Sandie, three sisters; Lesa, (Edward Bell), Laura McAnear, Sharon, (Bobby McGee), sister-in-law Edna Houston, brothers -in-law, Jimmy Houston, and Bob Houston, four grandchildren; Lane Mahanay, Magen Houston, Elissa Houston, and Britney Robins, extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Becky Jane was a member of First Baptist Church, Heber Springs, enjoyed singing in church, vocally trained, sang in many competitions, enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, always behind the camera capturing family moments, reading, and bowling with Bill and friends in bowling leagues for many years. Becky Jane also loved her time with Bill traveling on many cruises and enjoyed their time traveling in Europe.
Visitation will be 5-7pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, with funeral services Thursday 12th, 2023, starting at 10:30am at Family Funeral Service, Heber Springs, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Heber Springs Cemetery.
The family ask that memorials be made to the Heber Springs Humane Society, 49 Shelter Lane, Heber Springs, AR 72543.
